About Me.
As an immigrant from South Asia and a teenager who had to go through difficult transitions in a new country, I completely understand the various cultural biases and the emotional roller coaster newcomers and students face when moving to Canada. There may be feelings or emotions related to excitement, frustration, adjustment and, or confidence. I can help you or your loved one explore some of the emotional highs and lows, and help you learn how to cope with moving to a new country.

I am a Registered Social Worker, Psychotherapist (MSW), with experience supporting adults dealing with trauma, grief, and loss, fleeing domestic /intimate partner violence and abuse. I have extensively worked with individuals from marginalized, racialized, and low-income communities and various equity-seeking groups (eg: BIPOC).

THERAPY APPROACHES:
I use an integrated approach that combines elements of multiple techniques, including (but not limited to): Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused, Person-Centered, Positive Psychology and Mindfulness.
I will always work with you from a client-centered approach that aligns with your specific needs, preferences, and goals.

If you are looking for a BIPOC, trauma-informed, and culturally sensitive therapist, I would be glad to support you in your healing journey.
